The BROWNING 1069137 is a Type G split taper bushing designed for use with split taper sprockets and sheaves in mechanical power transmission systems. Machined from iron, this bushing features a 3/4 inch bore with a 3/16 inch keyway width and 3/32 inch keyway depth, providing a secure, keyed connection to the shaft. The 2 inch outside diameter and split taper design allow the bushing to be installed and removed without disturbing the sprocket or sheave on the shaft. Maximum rated torque is 95 inch-pounds. This component is installed by millwrights, maintenance mechanics, and industrial service technicians wherever split taper drives are used.
This bushing is suited for light-duty to medium-duty drive applications across industrial and commercial equipment. Common install scenarios include conveyor drives, fan and blower assemblies, pump drives, and general-purpose belt or chain drive systems using split taper sprockets and sheaves. The split taper design enables quick changeover and precise shaft positioning, making it a standard choice in plant maintenance and drive system rebuilds.
Designed for use with split taper sprockets and sheaves that accept a Type G bushing bore. Compatible hub outside diameter range at installation is 1.133 to 1.172 inches. Thread size for mounting hardware is 1/4 x 5/8.
Installation and removal should be performed by a qualified millwright or maintenance mechanic. Disconnect and lock out all power to the drive system before beginning work, following applicable LOTO procedures. Clean the bushing bore, shaft, and hub seat before assembly to ensure proper fit and even torque distribution. Do not exceed the rated torque specification when tightening mounting screws.
