The BRIDGEPORT FITTINGS 801DC2 is a 90-degree connector designed to terminate flexible metal conduit or AC/MC/MC-PCS cable into an electrical box or enclosure at a right angle. Made from die cast zinc, it delivers a precise fit and strong corrosion resistance, making it suitable for use in harsh or demanding environments. The connector uses a steel cover and two-screw clamping design to secure the cable, paired with a locknut to fasten the assembly into a standard knockout. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting during rough-in and finish wiring work where a straight entry into the box is not practical.
This connector is rated for flex trade size 3/8 inches conduit or AC/MC/MC-PCS cable ranging from 14/4 to 10/4, covering an outer diameter range of 0.450 inches to 0.625 inches. It installs into a 1/2 inches knockout. Typical applications include residential and light commercial electrical installations where flexible metal conduit or armored cable must enter a junction box, panel enclosure, or device box at a 90-degree angle to reduce bending stress on the cable near the termination point.
Designed for use with 3/8 inches trade size flexible metal conduit or AC/MC/MC-PCS cable with an outer diameter of 0.450 inches to 0.625 inches, installing into a 1/2 inches knockout on an electrical box or enclosure.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements for flexible metal conduit and armored cable terminations. De-energize all circuits in the affected enclosure before beginning work. Secure the cable in the steel cover using the two-screw clamp before threading the locknut onto the connector and tightening it against the box knockout. Do not overtighten the clamping screws in a way that deforms the cable jacket or armor.
