The BRENNAN KP4312 is a stainless steel compression front ferrule designed for use with 1/2-inch outside diameter tubing in compression-style tube fittings. The front ferrule is the primary sealing component in a two-ferrule compression fitting assembly, biting into the tube wall to create a leak-tight, vibration-resistant connection without threading or brazing. Constructed from stainless steel, it delivers corrosion resistance suited to demanding fluid and instrumentation systems. This part ships in a package quantity of 5 and carries a Swagelok cross-reference of SS-813-1, making it straightforward to source as a replacement or spare in the field.
This ferrule is used in instrumentation, pneumatic, hydraulic, and process tubing installations across industrial, commercial, and mechanical systems. It is appropriate for applications where tube connections must maintain a secure seal under pressure cycling and vibration. Plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians working on compressed gas, liquid process lines, or HVAC refrigerant-adjacent instrumentation tubing will encounter this type of fitting component. It is sold in a minimum order quantity of 1 package of 5 pieces.
Designed for use with standard two-ferrule compression tube fittings accepting 1/2-inch outside diameter tubing. Cross-references to Swagelok part number SS-813-1 for direct replacement use.
Installation is typically performed by licensed pipefitters, plumbers, or instrumentation technicians. Before service, depressurize and isolate the tubing circuit completely. Seat the ferrule onto the tube and hand-tighten the fitting nut before applying final wrench turns per the fitting manufacturer's assembly procedure. Do not reuse ferrules that have already been fully swaged onto tubing, as the deformed ferrule will not re-seal reliably.
