The BRENNAN KP4308 is a stainless steel compression tube back ferrule designed for use in compression tube fitting assemblies. The back ferrule seats behind the front ferrule in a standard two-ferrule compression fitting, creating a secure, leak-resistant tube grip when the fitting nut is tightened. Manufactured from stainless steel, this ferrule resists corrosion and holds up in demanding fluid and gas system environments. It is compatible with 1/2 inch outside diameter tubing and fits the compression cap end connection style. Plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians working on process or instrumentation tubing lines will find this a direct-fit component for standard two-ferrule compression systems.
This back ferrule is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant tubing connections, and industrial instrumentation tubing where compression-style fittings are specified. It is sold in a package quantity of five, making it practical for service technicians who routinely replace ferrules during fitting maintenance or new tubing installations. The stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for systems handling water, gas, hydraulic fluid, or other media where corrosion resistance is a priority.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement back ferrule for standard two-ferrule compression tube fittings using 1/2 inch outside diameter tubing. Cross-references Swagelok part number SS-814-1.
Installation is performed by qualified pipefitters, plumbers, or instrumentation technicians. Always depressurize and isolate the tubing system before disassembling or replacing compression ferrules. Insert the back ferrule onto the tube behind the front ferrule before threading and tightening the compression nut to the fitting body. Do not reuse deformed or damaged ferrules, as proper sealing depends on the ferrule conforming correctly to the tube surface during initial make-up.
