The BRENNAN KP4305 is a stainless steel compression tube back ferrule with a compression cap end connection, sold in a package of five. Back ferrules are a critical component in two-piece compression fittings, working alongside the front ferrule to create a leak-tight mechanical seal when the fitting nut is tightened. The KP4305 is designed for 1/8-inch outside diameter tubing and is manufactured from stainless steel for corrosion resistance in demanding fluid and gas service applications. Plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians working on compressed gas, hydraulic, or process lines will encounter this style of ferrule regularly in field and shop work.
This back ferrule is suited for use in residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant line instrumentation taps, pneumatic control tubing, and industrial process piping wherever a compression-style tube fitting is specified. Its compression cap configuration makes it compatible with standard two-piece compression fitting assemblies on 1/8-inch OD tubing. The package quantity of five makes it practical for small repairs or multi-connection installations without excess inventory.
Designed for use with standard two-piece compression fittings on 1/8-inch outside diameter tubing. Cross-references to Swagelok part number SS-204-1. Verify fitting body and front ferrule compatibility before installation.
Back ferrules are installed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, or instrumentation technicians following applicable codes such as IPC or ASME B31 piping standards. Depressurize and isolate the tubing line completely before disassembling any compression fitting. Do not overtighten the compression nut - follow the fitting manufacturer's turn-of-the-nut procedure; do not invent a torque value from this listing. Reuse of ferrules already swaged onto tubing is generally not recommended; use new ferrules when making fresh connections.
