The BRENNAN KP4292 is a stainless steel compression tube male branch tee designed for instrumentation and fluid-handling tubing systems. It provides two compression ends and one male NPT branch outlet in a single compact fitting body. The tube outside diameter is 3/8 inch, and the male NPT thread size is 1/4 inch. All wetted surfaces are stainless steel, making this fitting suitable for corrosive media, high-purity lines, and applications where carbon steel is not acceptable. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians working on process, HVAC, or refrigeration tubing circuits are the typical installers.
This fitting is used where a branch connection must be added to an existing compression tubing run without welding or flaring. Typical applications include instrument sensing lines, pneumatic control tubing, hydraulic sampling systems, and refrigeration accessory lines. The male NPT outlet allows connection to threaded valve bodies, gauges, transmitters, or manifold ports. It is suited for both residential and light commercial mechanical systems as well as industrial process installations requiring a reliable leak-free branch point.
Cross-references to Swagelok part number SS-600-3-4TTM. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or alternate-source fitting for 3/8 inch OD compression tubing systems using 1/4 inch NPT branch ports.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter, plumber, or instrumentation technician in accordance with applicable codes including ASME B31.1 or B31.3 where required. Isolate and fully depressurize the tubing circuit before disassembly or fitting installation. Compression fittings require proper tube squareness and deburring at the cut end before inserting the ferrule and nut. Do not over-tighten compression nuts; follow the fitting manufacturer's turn-past-finger-tight procedure and pressure-test after assembly.
