The Bravo BRV-M12DT-230VI is a 12,000 BTU/h concealed slim duct indoor unit designed for ductless mini split heat pump systems operating on 208-230V, single-phase, 60Hz power. It uses R32 refrigerant, which carries a lower global warming potential than older refrigerant blends, and is paired with an inverter-driven outdoor unit for variable-speed capacity control. The unit mounts inside a ceiling plenum or above a drop ceiling, keeping all mechanical components out of the occupied space. A wall-mounted thermostat is included for local temperature control, and Smart App connectivity allows remote management through a smartphone or compatible device. Licensed HVAC technicians install and commission this unit as part of a multi-zone or single-zone mini split system.
The BRV-M12DT-230VI is suited for residential and light commercial applications where concealed delivery of conditioned air is required. It is used in bedrooms, offices, server rooms, and open-plan spaces where wall-mount cassettes are not aesthetically acceptable. The unit is compatible as an indoor zone component in Bravo Milano multi-zone configurations, including 2-zone and 3-zone systems paired with outdoor units such as the BRV-M36-230VO and BRV-M42-230VO series. It has appeared in system configurations alongside the BRV-M24DT-230VI as part of 36,000 BTU and 42,000 BTU multi-zone packages.
The BRV-M12DT-230VI is confirmed as an indoor zone unit in Bravo Milano multi-zone ducted mini split systems. It has been used in 2-zone configurations with the BRV-M24DT-230VI paired to the BRV-M36-230VO outdoor unit, and in 3-zone configurations where three BRV-M12DT-230VI units connect to a 42,000 BTU outdoor unit. Verify outdoor unit compatibility and total zone capacity against Bravo Milano system documentation before ordering.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding an EPA 608 refrigerant handling certification, as this unit uses R32, a mildly flammable (A2L) refrigerant subject to specific handling and ventilation requirements under current codes. De-energize all circuits and recover any existing refrigerant charge before disconnecting refrigerant lines. The slim duct unit requires adequate plenum space for mounting, return air access, and condensate drain routing. Consult the Bravo Milano installation manual and local mechanical codes for minimum clearances, line set sizing, and electrical disconnect requirements.
