The BRASSCRAFT CT2664X is a compression Add-A-Tee adapter fitting designed to split an existing compression line into two separate supply connections. It connects at a 3/8 inch OD compression inlet and 3/8 inch OD compression outlet, while adding a 1/4 inch female compression nut branch port. Plumbers and installers use this fitting to tap a secondary supply line off an existing run without cutting into copper tubing or replacing the existing stop valve. It is a practical solution for adding an icemaker line, a water filtration feed, or a similar low-flow branch off a standard compression supply.
This fitting is suited to residential plumbing applications where a compression stop valve is already in service and a secondary connection is needed nearby. Common install scenarios include under-sink supply lines for reverse osmosis systems, refrigerator icemaker feeds, and humidifier supply taps. The 1/4 inch female comp nut branch accepts standard 1/4 inch OD tubing, which is typical for icemaker and RO feed lines.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or add-on compression tee fitting for residential water supply lines using 3/8 inch OD compression connections with a 1/4 inch OD branch outlet.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Shut off the main water supply and relieve line pressure fully before disassembling any existing compression fitting. Do not overtighten compression nuts, as this can crack ferrules or distort tubing ends. Inspect all ferrules and tubing ends for burrs or damage before reassembly.
