The BRAMEC 17712 is a gas test gauge designed for pressure testing and leak checking on natural gas and propane distribution systems. Rated to 30 PSI, it connects via a 3/4-inch fitting and delivers accurate pressure readings during system commissioning, post-repair verification, and routine inspection. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians rely on this type of gauge to confirm gas line integrity before returning a system to service. The compact design makes it practical for both residential service calls and light commercial work.
This gauge is used in typical gas line pressure testing scenarios, including new construction rough-in inspections, appliance hookup verification, and leak-down tests following pipe repair. It is suited for natural gas and LP gas systems where low-range pressure confirmation is required by code prior to lighting appliances or restoring service.
Designed as a general-purpose gas test gauge for use with residential and light commercial gas piping systems requiring low-pressure testing up to 30 PSI.
Gas test gauges must be installed and operated by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with local codes and IFGC requirements. Always shut off the gas supply and isolate the section of pipe being tested before attaching the gauge. Do not exceed the rated pressure of the gauge or the system being tested. Inspect all connections for leaks using an approved leak detection solution after completing the test.
