The BRADY SPC SORBENTS GP500 is a universal sorbent pad designed to absorb oils, water, coolants, and most common industrial fluids encountered in HVAC, plumbing, and general mechanical service work. Constructed from gray polypropylene, each pad measures 15 inches wide by 19 inches long and delivers a combined package absorption capacity of 22 gallons per 100-pad pack. These pads are a standard consumable for technicians who need fast, reliable fluid containment during equipment service, leak response, or routine maintenance tasks.
Universal sorbent pads are suited for use in residential and commercial service environments wherever fluid spills, drips, or leaks need to be managed quickly. Common applications include placement under HVAC equipment during refrigerant line work, beneath water heaters or boilers during drain-down procedures, under vehicle service areas, and around plumbing rough-in or repair sites. The gray polypropylene construction handles a broad range of fluids without the color-coded restrictions of oil-only or hazmat-specific pads.
Designed as a universal-use sorbent pad suitable for general fluid containment across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical service applications.
Sorbent pads require no tools to deploy - position the pad beneath the work area or over the spill before beginning service. Always power down electrical equipment and shut off fluid supply lines before servicing components in the immediate area. Dispose of saturated pads in accordance with local regulations, particularly when the absorbed fluid is a regulated substance such as refrigerant oil or chemical coolant.
