The BOSTON GEAR G00326 is a flanged sleeve bearing machined from oil impregnated bronze, conforming to SAE-841 standards. It carries a 1 inch bore (plain type) and an outside diameter of 1-3/8 inches, with an overall length of 3/4 inches. The flange measures 1-5/8 inches in outside diameter and 3/16 inches thick, providing a positive axial stop for shaft positioning. The sintered bronze construction holds lubricant within the material itself, reducing the need for external re-lubrication in most light-to-moderate load applications. Licensed mechanics, millwrights, and HVAC technicians commonly specify this type of bearing in motor and fan shaft assemblies.
This bearing is suited for use in residential and light commercial equipment where a low-maintenance, self-lubricating plain bore insert is required. Typical applications include fractional horsepower motors, blower wheel shafts, pump housings, and small gearbox assemblies. The flanged design makes it particularly useful where the bearing must seat against a housing shoulder or mounting plate to control axial movement of the shaft. It is sold individually and is a direct form-fit-function replacement for worn or seized bronze sleeve bearings of the same dimensional footprint.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement flanged sleeve bearing for equipment using a 1 inch plain bore insert with a 1-3/8 inch OD and SAE-841 oil impregnated bronze specification.
Installation is typically performed by a millwright, maintenance technician, or licensed HVAC mechanic. De-energize and lock out all power to the equipment before removing the worn bearing. Press or drive the bearing into its housing bore with a properly sized arbor or press tool to avoid cocking or distorting the flange. Do not use the bearing bore itself as the driving surface, as this can collapse the ID and damage the plain bore finish.
