The BOSTON GEAR 34564 is an oil impregnated bronze sleeve bearing designed for light-duty rotational and oscillating shaft support applications. It features a plain bore with a 0.252 inches inside diameter, 0.439 inches outside diameter, and an overall length of 0.625 inches. The bearing is self-lubricating, drawing oil from its porous bronze matrix to maintain a continuous film between the shaft and bore surface. This reduces maintenance intervals and eliminates the need for external lubrication in many installations. It is suited for use in motors, fans, pumps, appliances, and general industrial assemblies where low-friction shaft support is required. Licensed HVAC technicians, equipment rebuilders, and maintenance mechanics are the typical installers.
This sleeve bearing is commonly used in residential and light commercial equipment requiring compact, low-profile shaft support. Typical applications include blower motor shaft support, small pump assemblies, conveyor components, and general OEM machinery. The oil impregnated bronze construction meets SAE 20 (ISO 68) and SAE 30 (ISO 100) lubricant standards, making it compatible with a broad range of mineral-oil lubricated systems. Its small form factor fits into tight housings common in HVAC blower assemblies and fan motor end bells.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement sleeve bearing for motors, blowers, fans, and light industrial assemblies requiring a plain bore bronze bushing with a 0.25 inches inside diameter and 0.4375 inches outside diameter.
Sleeve bearings of this type are typically installed by HVAC technicians, motor rebuilders, or maintenance mechanics. Power down and de-energize all equipment before removing or installing any bearing components. A properly sized arbor press should be used for press-fit installation to avoid cocking or deforming the bearing bore. Do not ream or machine the bore without verifying final shaft clearance against manufacturer tolerances.
