The all-metal handle measures 6 inches long and houses a three-position blade slide that locks the blade at shallow, mid, and full extension. A tool-free push-button mechanism releases the blade instantly, eliminating the need for a screwdriver or coin during blade swaps. A swing-out compartment in the handle stores up to three heavy-duty blades on site. The nose of the knife is shaped to cut string when the blade is fully retracted, adding a secondary function without a secondary tool.

The BOS10499 suits general-purpose cutting work across trades and job-site environments, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing rough-in work where box cutting, sheathing trimming, and duct liner scoring are routine.
