The ROBERT BOSCH TOOL GROUP HCFC2104 is a carbide SDS-Plus rotary hammer drill bit engineered for heavy-duty concrete and rebar drilling applications. Part of the Bulldog Xtreme line, this percussion bit measures 5/8 inch in diameter with an 18-inch overall length and a 16-inch usable flute length. Diffusion Bonding Technology creates a stronger carbide-to-steel bond, extending service life well beyond standard SDS-Plus bits. The centric conical tip self-centers on contact, guiding the bit through aggregate for rounder, more accurate holes. A built-in wear mark confirms that hole diameter remains within spec throughout the bit's working life.
This bit is optimized for heavy-duty SDS-Plus rotary hammers used in concrete drilling, anchor setting, and structural penetration work. It is suited for residential and commercial construction and renovation tasks where rebar-embedded concrete is common. The geometry reduces jamming when the bit contacts rebar, limiting downtime on the job. Licensed electricians, plumbers, HVAC installers, and general contractors driving anchors or sleeves through reinforced concrete slabs and walls will find the extended carbide life reduces bit changeovers per shift.
Designed for use with heavy-duty SDS-Plus rotary hammers. The SDS-Plus shank interfaces with any tool accepting the standard SDS-Plus chuck system.
Installation of this bit is performed by licensed trades or qualified contractors using SDS-Plus rotary hammers. Confirm the hammer is powered off and the chuck is fully released before inserting or removing the bit. Always wear appropriate eye and respiratory protection when drilling concrete or masonry. Verify anchor or penetration locations against structural drawings and applicable building codes before drilling.
