The BOSCH bms500-aau024-1ahwxc is a 24,000 BTU/h wall-mounted indoor unit (IDU) designed for ductless mini-split systems in single-zone and multi-zone configurations. Running on 208/230 volts and charged with R-410A refrigerant, this unit delivers 24,000 BTU/h cooling and 25,000 BTU/h heating capacity. Sound pressure levels are rated at 46 dBA in both cooling and heating modes, supporting whisper-quiet operation. A wired 24-volt thermostat interface allows integration with standard low-voltage thermostats, and the unit is compatible with the Bosch Connected Control Wi-Fi thermostat family for smart-home system integration. Licensed HVAC technicians install and commission this unit as part of a matched mini-split system.
This IDU is suited for residential and light commercial applications where ducted distribution is not practical or desired. It mounts on an interior wall and connects to a compatible outdoor condensing unit via refrigerant line set with a 3/8-inch liquid connection and a 5/8-inch suction fitting. The unit supports low ambient cooling operation down to -22 degrees F when paired with a MAX Performance System outdoor unit, and maintains 100 percent heating capacity between -5 degrees F and 5 degrees F depending on system configuration. It is appropriate for bedroom, living area, office, or server-room installations where precise zone temperature control is required.
Designed for use in Bosch ductless mini-split systems in single-zone and multi-zone configurations. Compatible with the Bosch Connected Control (BCC) Wi-Fi thermostat family. System number AAU024-1AHWXC. Verify outdoor unit compatibility before installation.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding appropriate EPA Section 608 certification for handling R-410A refrigerant. Shut down all electrical power to the system at the disconnect before beginning any wiring or refrigerant line connections. Line set sizing, electrical supply, and disconnect requirements must comply with local mechanical and electrical codes. Do not operate the system without confirming refrigerant line set connections are leak-tested and the system is properly evacuated prior to startup.
