The BOSCH 8733980508 is a multi-zone mini split system kit designed for residential and light commercial cooling and heating applications. This kit includes one outdoor condensing unit and two 6000 BTU indoor air handlers, delivering a combined 12000 BTU capacity across two independently controlled zones. The system ships as a matched assembly with factory-paired components, reducing sourcing errors during installation. Licensed HVAC technicians will find the matched IDU and ODU configuration ready for field line-set connection and commissioning upon delivery.
This kit is suited for two-room or two-zone installations where separate temperature control is required in each space. Common applications include residential bedroom-and-living-room configurations, small office suites, or any structure where a single-zone system would fail to address comfort demands in distinct areas. The kit does not include line sets, so the installing contractor must supply appropriately sized refrigerant line sets and condensate drain materials for each indoor unit. This is a Generation 4 platform kit without a line set included.
This kit contains BOSCH indoor units 8733962676 (qty 2) and outdoor unit 8733962699 (qty 1) as factory-matched components. No additional indoor units beyond those included in this kit are specified for this configuration.
Installation must be performed by an EPA 608-certified HVAC technician. Disconnect and lock out all power to the installation area before mounting indoor or outdoor units. Line sets are not included and must be field-supplied and sized according to the manufacturer guidelines and applicable mechanical codes. Follow local jurisdiction permit requirements and reference ASHRAE and NEC standards for refrigerant handling, electrical connections, and equipment clearances.
