The BOSCH 8733980459 is a single-zone ductless mini split heat pump kit rated at 9,000 BTU/h for both cooling and heating applications. Operating on 230 volts, this kit delivers a SEER2 of 25.8 and an EER2 of 14.9 for cooling efficiency, along with an HSPF2 of 12.5 and a COP of 3.9 at 47 degrees F for heating performance. It carries Energy Star certification, making it one of the more efficient options in its capacity class. The kit ships as a matched set including one indoor unit (IDU) and one outdoor unit (ODU), ready for installation by a licensed HVAC technician. This system does not include line sets.
Designed for single-zone residential and light commercial applications, the 8733980459 kit suits spaces where ductwork is impractical or unavailable. Typical installations include additions, converted garages, server rooms, sunrooms, and individual rooms requiring independent temperature control. The system is matched and rated as a complete assembly, so both the IDU and ODU must be installed together to achieve published AHRI performance values. No line set is included and must be sourced separately to complete the installation.
This kit includes indoor unit 8733962672 and outdoor unit 8733962684 as a factory-matched pair. Components are designed to operate together as a system; substituting individual units from this kit with other models will void AHRI ratings and is not recommended.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding an EPA 608 certification for refrigerant handling. Before beginning any work, disconnect and lock out all electrical power at the circuit breaker. Line sets, refrigerant, and any required electrical disconnects are not included and must be sourced separately. Follow all applicable local codes, NEC requirements, and manufacturer installation documentation for proper mounting, wiring, and refrigerant line routing.
