The BONEHAM SFT288HG is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision during drilling, reaming, and boring operations. Built to industry code SF, this headed bushing features a 0.2500 inch inside diameter (Letter E), a 0.4375 inch body outside diameter, and a 0.5 inch length under head. The steel construction provides durability in production jig and fixture applications. The inside diameter is held to a close tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inch, ensuring accurate tool guidance and repeatable hole location across high-volume operations. The renewable design allows the bushing to be replaced without scrapping the jig plate.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jig plates and fixture tooling across metalworking, machining, and fabrication environments. It is installed in applications requiring a fixed guide bushing that can be removed and replaced as the bushing wears. The headed design seats against the top face of the jig plate, and the included lock screw compatibility with the LS-TW-2 screw secures the bushing in position during operation. Typical installers include tool and die makers, fixture builders, and machining setup technicians in both job shop and production environments.
Designed as an SF-industry-code slip-fixed drill bushing compatible with LS-TW-2 lock screws for use in standard drill jig and fixture plate applications.
Installation and removal of slip-fixed bushings is performed by tool and die makers or machining setup personnel using standard bushing press or arbor press equipment. The jig plate liner bushing bore must be clean and free of debris before inserting the slip-fixed bushing. Always disengage and de-energize machine spindles before servicing jig bushings. Secure the lock screw to the manufacturer-specified engagement to prevent rotation or ejection during cutting operations.
