The BONEHAM SFT286HL is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. It carries an industry code of SF and features a 0.261 inch inside diameter (letter size G) with a body outside diameter of 0.4375 inches (7/16 inch) and a length under the head of 0.375 inches (3/8 inch). Constructed from steel, it includes a head with a 5/8 inch outside diameter and a 1/4 inch head height. The bushing is renewable and compatible with the LS-TW-2 lock screw, allowing secure, removable installation in drill jig liners. Machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders working in production or maintenance environments use this part to maintain accurate hole locations across repeated operations.
This bushing is suited for use in slip-fixed bushing applications where interchangeable tooling is required within a single jig plate. The SF-style design allows the bushing to be seated into a fixed liner and locked in place with a compatible LS-TW-2 lock screw. The inside diameter tolerance of plus 0.0001 to plus 0.0005 inches ensures close control over drill, reamer, or other cutting-tool guidance. This part is appropriate for both light production runs and high-cycle fixture work in machine shops, fabrication environments, and tooling departments.
Designed for use with standard SF-style fixed liners and LS-TW-2 lock screws in drill jig and fixture assemblies. Consult the BONEHAM slip-fixed bushing system for matching liner and lock screw selections.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinists using hand tools; the bushing is inserted into a compatible fixed liner and secured with an LS-TW-2 lock screw. Ensure the liner bore and mating surfaces are clean and free of chips or burrs before seating the bushing. Do not force the bushing into an undersized liner, as this can damage the close-tolerance bore. Always confirm the lock screw is fully engaged before beginning any drilling or reaming operation.
