The BONEHAM SFT2812HS is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools accurately during drilling, reaming, and similar machining operations. Built to industry code SF, this bushing features a 0.272-inch inside diameter with a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0005 inches, a 7/16-inch body outside diameter, and a 3/4-inch length under the head. The headed design seats flush into a counterbore in a drill jig plate, and the slip-fixed installation method allows the bushing to be locked in place using a compatible lock screw. Constructed from steel, this part is suited for production and toolroom environments where repeatable positional accuracy is required. It is installed by machinists, tool and die makers, and fixture builders.
This bushing is used in drill jig fixtures across manufacturing, fabrication, and metalworking applications. The renewable design allows worn bushings to be replaced without scrapping the jig body, which extends the service life of the fixture assembly. It is appropriate for both production-run tooling and prototype fixtures where guided-tool operations demand consistent hole location. The LS-TW-2 compatible lock screw interface is a standard feature that works with common jig bushing locking hardware found in most toolroom inventories.
Compatible with LS-TW-2 lock screws. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit component for slip-fixed drill jig bushings conforming to industry code SF with a 0.272-inch inside diameter and 7/16-inch body outside diameter.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolmakers working with drill jig fixtures. The jig plate or fixture must be powered down and secured before bushing installation or removal. Use the appropriate lock screw driver or spanner to engage the LS-TW-2 lock screw without damaging the bushing head. Do not force the bushing into an undersized liner or press fit; verify the receiving bore dimensions match the body outside diameter specification before installation.
