The BONEHAM SFT244FX is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision during drilling, reaming, and boring operations. Built to SF industry standards, it features a 0.1935 inch inside diameter sized for a No. 10 wire gauge tool and a 3/8 inch body outside diameter. The bushing is machined from steel for durability in high-cycle jig and fixture applications. It includes a head style design with a 5/8 inch head outside diameter and a 1/4 inch head height, and the body measures 1/4 inch in length under the head. Installation is slip-fit, allowing the bushing to be removed and replaced without special press tooling. Machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders typically specify this component.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jig plates and tooling fixtures where repeatable hole location is critical. It is appropriate for both production and prototype environments in metal fabrication, aerospace, automotive, and general machining shops. The slip-fixed configuration allows the bushing to be locked in place during a drilling operation using a compatible lock screw, then removed when the operation is complete. Inside diameter tolerance is held to a tight plus 0.0001 to plus 0.0004 inch range, making it a reliable choice for applications requiring consistent tool guidance across multiple workpieces.
Designed for use with LS-TW-2 compatible lock screws in standard SF-series slip-fixed drill jig bushing applications. Fits jig plates bored to accept a 3/8 inch body outside diameter slip-fixed liner bushing.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinists as part of drill jig assembly or maintenance. Confirm the liner bushing or jig plate bore is clean and free of burrs before inserting the bushing. Secure the bushing using an LS-TW-2 compatible lock screw torqued according to the fixture manufacturer or shop standard. Always remove the lock screw and bushing before replacing worn components to avoid damage to the liner bore.
