The BONEHAM SF8812NM is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools accurately during drilling, reaming, and boring operations. Built to industry code SF, this bushing features a 13/16 inch (0.8125 inch) inside diameter with a tight tolerance of +0.0002 to +0.0006 inches, ensuring precise tool guidance and repeatable hole location. The body outside diameter measures 1-3/8 inches (1.3750 inch), and the length under the head is 3/4 inch. Constructed from steel hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, it delivers the wear resistance required for production jig and fixture work. Licensed machinists, tool and die makers, and manufacturing technicians install this bushing in drill jigs and fixture plates.
This bushing is suited for use in production drilling fixtures and jig plates where consistent hole location and long service life are required. The slip-fixed design allows the bushing to be installed and removed with a locking screw, making it appropriate for applications that may require tool changes between operations while maintaining precise positioning. The head outside diameter measures 1-51/64 inches with a head height of 3/8 inch. It is compatible with the LS-2 lock screw. This bushing conforms to ANSI standards and is renewable, supporting extended fixture life through bushing replacement without reworking the jig plate.
Compatible with LS-2 lock screws. Designed as an ANSI-standard SF-type slip-fixed renewable drill bushing for use in jig plates and fixture assemblies requiring tool-change capability.
Installation is typically performed by machinists or tool and die technicians. The jig plate must be properly bored or reamed to the correct liner bushing inside diameter before pressing or installing this slip-fixed bushing. Ensure the lock screw and screw slot are properly aligned before securing. Power down all machinery and secure workpieces before installing or removing drill bushings from active fixtures.
