The BONEHAM SF4812LK is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed for precision hole guidance in jig and fixture applications. Built to ANSI standards, it features a 0.5000-inch inside diameter, a 0.75-inch body outside diameter, and a 0.75-inch length under the head. The hardened steel construction delivers a Rockwell hardness of 60 to 65 HRC, providing wear resistance under repeated tooling passes. The headed design and LS-1 compatible lock screw make this a renewable bushing, allowing it to be removed and replaced without disturbing the jig plate. Machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders use this part in production drilling and reaming setups.
The SF4812LK fits into standard SF-series bushing liners pressed into drill jig plates. It is suited for production environments where bushings require periodic replacement due to wear. The slip-fixed installation method allows the bushing to be locked in place during the drilling cycle and removed when the tool needs to change. This configuration is common in multi-operation fixtures used in metal fabrication, aerospace component work, and general machining shops. Renewable construction reduces the cost of jig maintenance over extended production runs.
Designed for use with LS-1 lock screws and standard SF-series drill jig liner bushings per ANSI specifications. No additional compatible model numbers were specified in the product data.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinists during jig setup or maintenance. Before replacing a worn bushing, secure the workpiece fixture and ensure all drilling equipment is powered down and locked out. The slip-fixed bushing is inserted into a pressed liner and rotated to engage the lock screw. Use of a dedicated lock screw driver or appropriate hex key for the LS-1 screw is recommended to avoid damaging the bushing head.
