The BONEHAM SF326IO is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Machined from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, it delivers the wear resistance required for repeated production drilling operations. The bushing carries an inside diameter of 0.316 inches, a body outside diameter of 0.500 inches, and a length under head of 0.375 inches. A head outside diameter of 0.797 inches and a head height of 0.250 inches seat the bushing securely against the jig plate. It accepts an LS-1 compatible lock screw and meets ANSI standards for slip-fixed bushing dimensions.
Slip-fixed bushings of the SF series are used in drill jigs where a fixed liner bushing is already installed in the plate. The SF326IO drops into the liner, is rotated to lock, and can be removed and replaced without disturbing the jig plate itself. This configuration suits production environments where multiple operations share a single jig plate, or where bushing wear requires periodic changeout. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and manufacturing maintenance technicians install this component on CNC and manual drill presses, jig borers, and multi-spindle drilling fixtures.
Designed as an ANSI-standard SF-series slip-fixed bushing for use with compatible fixed liner bushings accepting a 0.500 inch body OD. Requires an LS-1 compatible lock screw, sold separately.
Installation is performed by machinists or tooling technicians. Ensure the mating liner bushing is clean and free of chips before inserting the SF326IO. Align the bushing head notch with the lock screw, press the bushing into the liner, and rotate to the locked position before securing with the LS-1 lock screw. Power down all spindles and verify the fixture is fully de-energized before performing any bushing changeout.
