The BONEHAM SF326FF is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision during drilling, reaming, and boring operations in jig and fixture applications. Built from steel with a hardness rating of 60 to 65 HRC, this bushing delivers consistent tool guidance and extended service life in production environments. It features a 0.1695 inch inside diameter corresponding to a Number 18 wire gauge designation, a 1/2 inch body outside diameter, and a 3/8 inch length under the head. The renewable design allows the bushing to be replaced without disturbing the fixture liner, making it well suited for high-cycle production jig work. Installation and removal are controlled by an LS-1 compatible lock screw.
This bushing is intended for use in drill jig fixtures in manufacturing, metalworking, and machine shop environments. It fits into a standard liner bushing and is held in position by a lock screw. The head type configuration positions the flanged head flush against the jig plate surface, providing a positive stop during tool entry. Typical installers include machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders working in production or job-shop settings where repeatable hole location is required.
Designed for use with LS-1 compatible lock screws and standard liner bushings. Meets ANSI specifications for SF-series slip-fixed drill bushings used in jig and fixture tooling.
Slip-fixed bushings are installed and removed by machinists or toolmakers using the appropriate LS-1 lock screw. Before installing or removing the bushing, ensure all cutting tools are withdrawn and the machine spindle is fully stopped. The bushing should seat fully into the liner before the lock screw is engaged. Inspect the liner bore and mating surfaces for wear or debris prior to installation to maintain hole location accuracy.
