The BONEHAM SF325HG is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Manufactured from steel and hardened to 60-65 HRC, this bushing delivers consistent bore alignment and extended service life under repeated tooling cycles. The inside diameter measures 0.25 inches (Letter E) with a close tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, ensuring accurate tool guidance. The body outside diameter is 0.5 inches and the length under head is 0.3125 inches. It features a head with a 51/64-inch outside diameter and a 0.25-inch head height. The SF industry code designates this as a slip-fixed type, meaning it seats into a liner bushing and is secured with a lock screw.
This bushing is used in drill jigs and machining fixtures across industrial, tool-and-die, and manufacturing environments. It is suited for applications requiring renewable tooling bushings where the slip-fixed design allows periodic replacement without disturbing the liner. Compatible with an LS-1 lock screw for positive retention during drilling, reaming, or countersinking operations. Typical installations are found in production machining, metal fabrication shops, and precision assembly fixtures.
Designed for use with LS-1 compatible lock screws in standard ANSI slip-fixed liner bushing installations. Fits jig and fixture setups calling for an SF-series bushing with a 0.5-inch body outside diameter.
Installation is performed by machinists or tool-and-die professionals fitting drill jigs and production fixtures. Before installing or replacing the bushing, ensure the machine is powered down and all tooling is clear of the work area. The bushing is inserted into a mating liner bushing and secured with an LS-1 lock screw — do not overtighten the lock screw in a way that distorts the bore. Verify inside diameter tolerance and liner fit before returning the fixture to production service.
