The BONEHAM SF3216EV is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision during drilling, reaming, and related machining operations. Built to the SF industry standard, this bushing features a 0.157 inch (No. 22 wire gauge) inside diameter with a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, ensuring accurate and repeatable tool guidance. The body outside diameter is 0.500 inches with a 1 inch length under the head. Constructed from steel, this renewable bushing is intended for use in jig plates and fixture assemblies where consistent hole location is critical. Installation and removal are handled by machinists and tooling professionals working in production or maintenance machining environments.
The SF3216EV is suited for jig and fixture applications in both production machining and toolroom settings. The slip-fixed design allows the bushing to be installed and locked in place using an LS-1 compatible lock screw, making it appropriate for operations that require the bushing to remain stationary during the cut. Its renewable construction means the bushing can be replaced independently of the liner or jig plate, reducing tooling downtime in repetitive-use fixtures. This bushing fits applications where a headed, counterbored design is specified.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit component for jig and fixture assemblies requiring an SF-series slip-fixed drill bushing with an LS-1 compatible lock screw.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with drill jig assembly practices. Ensure the jig plate or liner is clean and free of burrs before pressing or sliding the bushing into position. Secure the bushing with an LS-1 compatible lock screw and verify that the bushing does not rotate or lift during the cutting operation. De-energize or lock out any associated machinery before servicing or replacing bushings in a production fixture.
