The BONEHAM SF3212HJ is a slip-fixed drill bushing conforming to ANSI SF industry standards. It features a 0.257-inch inside diameter (Letter F bore), a 0.500-inch body outside diameter, and a 0.750-inch length under head. The bushing is manufactured from steel hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, delivering the wear resistance required for precision drilling, reaming, and guided tooling operations. It is classified as a renewable bushing, meaning it is designed to be replaced without disturbing the liner bushing pressed into the jig plate. Machinists and tooling technicians install this component in drill jigs and fixture plates across production and maintenance environments.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jig assemblies requiring a removable guided-tool insert. The slip-fixed design allows the bushing to be rotated and locked in position via an LS-1 compatible lock screw, securing it against rotation and axial movement during the machining cycle. Typical applications include production drilling, line reaming, and spot-facing operations on metal workpieces where repeatable hole location accuracy is critical. The headed configuration provides a positive stop against the jig plate surface for consistent depth registration.

Installation is performed by tooling technicians or machinists with the workpiece fixture secured and all machine motion stopped. The bushing slips into a properly sized liner bushing already pressed into the jig plate, then is rotated to engage the lock screw and secured with an LS-1 compatible fastener. Confirm the inside diameter and body outside diameter are correct for the liner and tool shank before installation. Inspect the bushing bore for wear at regular service intervals and replace when bore tolerance is exceeded to maintain hole location accuracy.
