The BONEHAM SF206EV is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision during drilling, reaming, and boring operations. Built to ANSI standards, this bushing features a 0.157 inch (number 22 wire) inside diameter with a close tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, ensuring repeatable hole location accuracy. The body outside diameter measures 0.3125 inches (5/16 inch) with a length under head of 0.375 inches (3/8 inch). Constructed from steel hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, the SF206EV delivers the wear resistance required for production jig and fixture applications. It is installed by machinists, toolmakers, and CNC setup technicians in machine shops, manufacturing facilities, and tooling departments.
The SF206EV is suited for use in drill jig plates and fixture bodies where a renewable bushing is required. The slip-fixed design allows the bushing to be seated and locked in place using an LS-1 compatible lock screw, making it appropriate for applications that require occasional bushing changeout without full press-fit removal. The head-type configuration seats flush against the jig plate surface to control axial positioning. This bushing is commonly used in medium- to high-production environments where consistent hole geometry across multiple workpieces is critical.
Designed as an ANSI-standard slip-fixed drill bushing compatible with LS-1 lock screws and standard liner bushings used in drill jig and fixture tooling applications.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolmakers using an LS-1 compatible lock screw to secure the bushing within a mating liner bushing already pressed into the jig plate. Remove all chips and debris from the liner bore before seating the bushing to avoid dimensional interference. Do not hammer the bushing directly into the liner without proper alignment — use a press or hand pressure with straight axial force. Verify that the lock screw is fully engaged before operating the jig under cutting loads.
