The BONEHAM SF205FC is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed for precision hole-location applications in jig and fixture tooling. Built to ANSI standards, this steel bushing features a 0.166-inch inside diameter (wire size No. 19) and a 5/16-inch body outside diameter. The head-type design with a 35/64-inch head outside diameter and 1/4-inch head height keeps the bushing positively located against the jig plate face. Hardness runs 60 to 65 HRC throughout, providing wear resistance suited to repetitive drill, ream, or bore operations. The renewable design allows field replacement without scrapping the jig body. LS-1 lock screw compatibility is built in for secure retention. Machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders install this type of component.
This bushing fits applications where a slip-renewable bushing is required but a fixed installation method is preferred once the correct bushing is confirmed. The 5/16-inch length under head suits standard jig plate thicknesses used in metalworking, aerospace fabrication, and general manufacturing fixture work. Inside diameter tolerance of plus 0.0001 to plus 0.0004 inches maintains close clearance over the cutting tool for consistent hole location across high-volume production runs. The bushing installs into a standard SF-series counterbored jig plate hole and is retained with an LS-1 compatible lock screw, sold separately.
Designed for use in standard ANSI SF-series drill jig applications requiring a head-type slip-fixed bushing. Compatible with LS-1 lock screws. Intended for installation in jig plates bored to SF-series specifications with a 5/16-inch body diameter receiving hole.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinists during jig and fixture assembly or maintenance. Ensure the receiving hole in the jig plate is clean, free of burrs, and machined to the correct SF-series tolerance before pressing or sliding the bushing into position. Secure the bushing with an LS-1 compatible lock screw torqued per fixture design requirements. Inspect the inside diameter for damage or wear at regular maintenance intervals and replace as needed given the renewable design.
