The BONEHAM SF2022CY is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision during drilling, reaming, and similar machining operations. Built to the SF industry standard, this bushing features a 0.098 inch inside diameter and a 5/16 inch body outside diameter, with a 1-3/8 inch length under the head. Constructed from steel, it delivers the wear resistance and dimensional stability required in production jigs and fixtures. The SF2022CY is counterbored to accept an LS-1 compatible lock screw, securing the bushing in a renewable liner bushing during use. Inside diameter tolerance is held to +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches for consistent tool guidance.
This bushing is used in drill jig assemblies found in machine shops, fabrication facilities, and production manufacturing environments. The slip-fixed design allows the bushing to be installed and locked in place within a renewable liner bushing, making it suited for applications where a single operation is performed repeatedly at a fixed location. Machinists and toolmakers install these bushings when building or maintaining drill jigs that require precise, repeatable hole location. The head style and counterbore keep the bushing positively seated and locked against rotation during operation.
Designed for use with LS-1 compatible lock screws and standard renewable liner bushings in drill jig assemblies conforming to SF bushing industry standards.
Installation is typically performed by a machinist or toolmaker during jig setup or bushing replacement. Ensure the liner bushing and jig plate are clean and free of chips before inserting the slip-fixed bushing. Use the appropriate LS-1 lock screw to secure the bushing and prevent rotation during drilling. Always power down and de-energize any machine tool before servicing the jig fixture or replacing bushings.
