Constructed from steel hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, it delivers the wear resistance needed for repetitive, high-volume drilling. The inside diameter is held to a tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0005 inches, ensuring consistent tool guidance and accurate hole location. Machinists and toolmakers install this bushing directly into a drill jig plate without a locking head.
