The BONEHAM P324HG is a press fit headless drill bushing manufactured from hardened steel and designed to guide cutting tools with precision during drilling, reaming, or boring operations. Assigned Industry Code P, this bushing features a 0.25 inch inside diameter, a 0.5 inch body outside diameter, and a 0.25 inch overall length. It is installed without a head, sitting flush within the jig plate for clean, unobstructed tool clearance. With a hardness rating of 60 to 65 HRC and an inside diameter tolerance of positive 0.0001 to positive 0.0004 inches, it delivers the dimensional accuracy that production and toolroom environments demand. Machinists, toolmakers, and precision manufacturing technicians work with this component regularly.
The P324HG is suited for use in drill jigs and fixture plates across production machining, maintenance shops, and toolroom applications. Its press fit installation method makes it appropriate for permanent or semi-permanent jig configurations where the bushing is not intended for routine removal and replacement. The headless design keeps the top surface of the jig plate flat, which is common in applications requiring close part clearance or where chip buildup around a headed bushing would be a concern.
Designed as an ANSI-standard Code P press fit headless drill bushing for use in drill jigs and fixture plates requiring a 0.25 inch inside diameter and 0.5 inch outside diameter bushing seat.
Press fit bushings are typically installed by a toolmaker or machinist using an arbor press or similar pressing equipment to seat the bushing flush and square within the jig plate bore. The receiving bore must be machined to the appropriate tolerance to achieve correct interference fit. Power to any associated machinery should be locked out and tagged out before jig maintenance or bushing replacement. Do not drive bushings with a hammer directly on the bore face, as this can distort the inside diameter and compromise tool guidance accuracy.
