The BONEHAM P265FU is a press fit headless drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Built to Industry Code P specifications, it features a 0.189-inch inside diameter, a 13/32-inch body outside diameter, and a 5/16-inch overall length. Constructed from steel hardened to 60-65 HRC, this bushing maintains tight inside diameter tolerances of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, ensuring accurate and repeatable hole location across production runs. It installs without a head, sitting flush within the jig plate for applications where a low-profile seating is required. Machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders are the primary users.
This bushing is suited for drill jig applications in manufacturing and metalworking environments where consistent hole guidance is critical. The headless design is appropriate where the bushing must sit flush with the jig plate surface, preventing interference with workpieces or clamping setups. The press fit installation method means the bushing is driven permanently into the jig body and is not intended for routine removal or replacement in the field. It is compatible with wire gauge size 12 drill bits and equivalent decimal drill sizes around 0.189 inches.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct fit for drill jig fixtures requiring a press fit headless bushing with a 0.189-inch inside diameter and 13/32-inch outside diameter, conforming to ANSI Industry Code P specifications.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinist trades using an arbor press or similar pressing equipment to drive the bushing into a precisely reamed hole in the jig plate. The jig plate bore must be machined to the correct interference fit to accept the bushing without distortion. Do not hammer the bushing in with an unguided impact tool, as this can damage the bore or alter alignment. Once pressed in, this bushing is not designed for removal or reuse.
