The BON TOOL 12-710 is a concrete form string line holder designed to keep layout lines accurately positioned during flatwork and formwork installations. Built from tough alloy construction, this holder includes both the clamp and the 18-inch notched steel rod. The clamp adjusts fully up and down on any 3/4-inch diameter stake, allowing precise height positioning without tools. The notched rod captures and holds the string line securely in place. It is used primarily by concrete finishers, flatwork crews, and general contractors laying out slabs, footings, or curbs.

This holder is suited for residential and commercial concrete forming applications where accurate string line placement is critical to achieving proper grade and alignment. The adjustable clamp design makes it a practical fit for standard 3/4-inch diameter form stakes commonly used in slab and footing layouts. Note that string line and steel stake are not included with this holder. Replacement components are available separately: bon clamp 22-989 and bon rod 22-991.

Compatibility

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by concrete forming crews during site layout prior to pour. Slide the clamp onto a 3/4-inch diameter form stake and adjust to the required string line height before tightening. String line and steel stakes are not included and must be sourced separately. Inspect the notched rod and clamp mechanism for wear or damage before each use to ensure accurate line retention.
