The BK MUELLER 564-110HC is a galvanized steel pipe nipple designed for threaded piping systems in residential and commercial plumbing, gas distribution, and mechanical applications. Cut to 11 inches in length and manufactured to Schedule 40 wall thickness, this nipple ships with NPT threads on both ends for direct connection to fittings, valves, or other threaded pipe components. The galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance in wet or outdoor environments. Weighing 4.6 pounds, it is sized at 3/4 inch nominal pipe size with a matching 3/4 inch thread size. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the typical installers on both new construction and retrofit jobs.
This pipe nipple is suited for water supply lines, natural gas and propane distribution systems, compressed air lines, and general mechanical piping where Schedule 40 galvanized steel is specified. It fits standard threaded piping runs requiring an 11-inch close-to-close extension between fittings. The 3/4 inch nominal size is common in residential branch lines and light commercial distribution headers. It is appropriate for above-ground and exposed indoor installations where a durable, corrosion-resistant steel nipple is required by code or project specification.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation component for standard 3/4 inch NPT threaded piping systems using Schedule 40 galvanized steel pipe.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC) as relevant. Shut off the water, gas, or air supply and depressurize the line before beginning work. Apply an approved thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before making up connections. Do not over-tighten threaded connections, as this can crack fittings or damage threads.
