The BK 103-203 is a washerless hose bibb molded from Celcon, a high-performance acetal copolymer engineered for chemical resistance. It connects via a male iron pipe (MIP) inlet to a 1/2-inch male hose thread outlet. The valve handles operating temperatures from -20 degrees F to 180 degrees F and pressures up to 150 psi. Because it uses no stem washer, the valve seat does not wear the way a conventional compression bibb does, reducing maintenance requirements. Plumbers and facility maintenance technicians install this type of valve where chemical compatibility is a priority.
The 103-203 is suited for residential and light commercial applications where standard water service fittings may not hold up to aggressive fluid exposure. Its Celcon construction makes it compatible with water, gasoline, cleaning fluids, and other abnormal fluids that would degrade rubber-seated brass or iron valves. Typical install scenarios include chemical storage areas, utility connections, and irrigation or wash-down stations where fluid compatibility is a requirement.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement hose bibb for residential and light commercial plumbing systems requiring chemical-resistant valve service at standard hose thread connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure before removing any existing valve. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to all threaded connections before assembly. Do not overtighten the Celcon body against metal fittings, as the molded material requires careful torque management to avoid cracking.
