The BENJAMIN MOORE RP2723092-01 is a rubber-based, satin-finish pool paint engineered for coating concrete swimming pools in residential and commercial applications. Sold under the Insl-X RP Series, this 1-gallon unit delivers a durable, low-sheen surface that resists fading, fungus, algae, abrasion, and alkalis. The formulation meets all volatile emission standards set by the Ozone Transport Commission, with a VOC content under 340 grams per liter. Coverage runs approximately 450 square feet per gallon. The coating sets to touch in 30 minutes and is ready for recoat in 24 hours, making it a practical choice for scheduled pool maintenance windows.
This paint is designed for use on new or existing concrete pools, including Gunnite and Marcite surfaces where the substrate is structurally sound and solid. It performs in both fresh water and salt water environments. It is not suitable for metal, fiberglass, or vinyl-lined pools, nor for hot tubs or spas. Pool service professionals and licensed painting contractors apply this product during routine resurfacing or seasonal pool preparation work. After application, outdoor pools must cure for 7 days before filling; indoor pools require 14 days. Pool chemicals should be added slowly and in diluted form during the first treatment cycle.
Designed for use on concrete, Gunnite, and Marcite pool surfaces where the substrate is intact and structurally sound. Not for use on metal, fiberglass, or vinyl-lined pools, hot tubs, or spas.
Application should be performed by a pool service professional or licensed painting contractor familiar with rubber-based coatings. Drain and thoroughly clean the pool surface before application, and allow the substrate to dry completely. Follow all applicable local codes and the Insl-X swimming pool paint application instructions for surface preparation, primer requirements, and recoat timing. Add pool chemicals slowly and in diluted form only after the full cure period has elapsed.
