The BELDEN INC. TFSBB012RI5N is a 12-fiber OS2 singlemode fiber optic cable with a PVC jacket rated for riser (OFCR) applications. Designed for backbone and vertical runs inside commercial and industrial buildings, this tight-buffered breakout-style cable carries OS2 singlemode glass fiber for long-distance, low-loss optical signal transmission. The PVC riser jacket meets OFCR flame ratings for installation in building risers and vertical cable pathways. Licensed low-voltage and data cabling technicians are the primary installers of this product.
This cable is suited for intrabuilding backbone runs, telecommunications rooms, and vertical shaft installations in commercial, institutional, and light industrial facilities. The OS2 singlemode design supports extended transmission distances at low attenuation, making it appropriate for campus distribution, enterprise network backbones, and data center interconnects where singlemode infrastructure is specified. The 12-fiber count accommodates moderate-density termination at patch panels or splice enclosures.
Designed as an OEM-style riser-rated singlemode fiber optic cable for use with standard OS2 singlemode termination hardware, patch panels, and splice enclosures in commercial building backbone installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage or data cabling technician in accordance with NEC Article 770 requirements for optical fiber riser cables. De-energize any adjacent electrical equipment and follow building management procedures before pulling cable through riser shafts or conduit. Do not exceed the cable minimum bend radius during installation, and avoid exceeding the rated tensile load during pulls. Terminate fibers using appropriate fusion splicing or field-termination hardware rated for OS2 singlemode fiber.
