The BELDEN INC. FD1D144LKO is a 144-fiber multimode riser-rated fiber optic cable designed for indoor vertical runs between floors in commercial and industrial buildings. Classified as OM1 multimode, it supports legacy 62.5/125-micrometer applications where existing multimode infrastructure is in place. This cable is suited for structured cabling installations in riser pathways and is typically installed by licensed low-voltage, data, or telecommunications contractors working in commercial environments.
This cable is used in riser-rated vertical backbone runs within multi-story commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities. The 144-fiber count makes it appropriate for high-density distribution frames, main distribution areas (MDAs), and inter-floor backbone segments where a large number of fiber strands must be consolidated into a single cable run. It is commonly terminated at fiber distribution panels or splice enclosures by experienced fiber technicians.
Designed as a riser-rated OM1 multimode fiber optic cable suitable for indoor vertical backbone installations in commercial and institutional structured cabling systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage or fiber optic contractor in accordance with applicable codes including NFPA 70 (NEC) Article 770 governing optical fiber cables. Power to active equipment connected to the fiber path should be shut down or isolated before splicing or terminating. Do not exceed the cable manufacturer's minimum bend radius during pulling or routing. Riser-rated cables must be installed in designated riser pathways and must not be substituted for plenum-rated cable in air-handling spaces.
