Belden Inc. 8505005100 Multimedia Cable 26 Awg

Product Description

The BELDEN INC. 8505005100 is a 26 AWG stranded multimedia cable with a PVC jacket in green. Designed for signal and data transmission applications, this cable features a stranded conductor construction for improved flexibility, making it well-suited for installations where routing around obstacles or frequent movement is required. The green jacket provides easy identification in multi-cable runs. Sold as a single unit, this cable is used by electricians, low-voltage technicians, and AV installers working on structured wiring, communication, and multimedia distribution systems.

This cable is appropriate for residential and commercial multimedia and communication wiring projects. The 26 AWG stranded construction is commonly used in low-voltage control wiring, audio distribution, intercom systems, and similar signal-level applications. The PVC jacket offers adequate protection in standard indoor conduit or open-air plenum-free environments. Technicians select this cable when a flexible, identifiable conductor is needed within a larger cable bundle or panel assembly.

Installation Notes

Installation is typically performed by licensed low-voltage technicians or electricians in accordance with applicable NEC guidelines for communications wiring. De-energize any connected equipment before splicing or terminating conductors. Use appropriate punch-down or crimp tools rated for 26 AWG wire gauges. Avoid routing PVC-jacketed cable in plenum spaces unless the installation meets local code requirements for jacket type.
