Belden Inc. 83048002100 Tfe Stranded Wire Red

Product Description

The BELDEN INC. 83048002100 is a 24 AWG stranded TFE (tetrafluoroethylene) insulated wire in red. TFE insulation provides excellent thermal and chemical resistance, making this wire suitable for demanding environments where standard PVC insulation would degrade. The stranded construction improves flexibility compared to solid conductors, allowing for easier routing and termination in tight or vibration-prone installations. Electricians and instrumentation technicians typically specify this type of wire for control panels, HVAC control wiring, and similar low-voltage signal or power applications where heat resistance and flexibility are priorities.

This wire is used in residential and commercial applications requiring reliable, flexible conductors in elevated-temperature or chemically harsh environments. Typical installations include control panel wiring, appliance internal wiring, and HVAC equipment hookups where the conductor may be routed near heat sources or exposed to oils and solvents. The red jacket color aids in circuit identification during installation and future service work.

Key Features

• 24 AWG stranded construction for improved flexibility and ease of routing
• TFE (tetrafluoroethylene) insulation for high thermal and chemical resistance
• Red insulation color for circuit identification and color-coding
• Sold individually per unit of measure (each)

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement or general-use stranded control wire suitable for HVAC control circuits, instrumentation wiring, and low-voltage panel applications requiring TFE insulation.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize all circuits before making any wire connections and verify the circuit is de-energized with a meter before proceeding. Use appropriate wire strippers rated for small-gauge conductors to avoid nicking the strands. Route wire away from sharp edges or abrasion points to preserve insulation integrity over time.
