Belden Inc. 6502GE 009Z1000 Multimedia Cable 22 Awg

Product Description

The BELDEN INC. 6502GE 009Z1000 is a multimedia cable combining one foil-shielded pair with two additional conductors in a 22 AWG configuration, finished in a florescent white jacket. This construction suits low-voltage signal and control wiring runs where both shielded and unshielded conductors are needed in a single cable assembly. The foil shield on the paired conductors provides isolation from electromagnetic interference, making this cable appropriate for AV, data, or control signal applications. Licensed electricians and low-voltage systems technicians are the primary installers of this cable type.

This cable is suited for commercial and residential multimedia installations where a combination of shielded signal pairs and unshielded control conductors must be routed together. Typical applications include structured wiring systems, audio-visual infrastructure, building automation control runs, and integrated security or communications wiring where cable consolidation reduces conduit fill and simplifies termination. The florescent white jacket aids visibility during installation and identification after pull-through.

Key Features

• One foil-shielded pair plus two additional conductors in a single cable assembly
• 22 AWG conductor size suitable for low-voltage signal and control applications
• Foil shielding on the paired conductors reduces electromagnetic interference pickup
• Florescent white jacket for high-visibility identification in conduit or cable trays
• Multimedia cable category supports mixed AV, data, and control wiring in one run

Compatibility

Designed for use in multimedia, AV, building automation, and low-voltage control wiring systems requiring a combined shielded-pair and conductor cable in 22 AWG.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified low-voltage technician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for the intended circuit type and occupancy. De-energize all circuits at the panel before terminating conductors. Avoid sharp bends that exceed the cable minimum bend radius, and do not over-cinch cable ties, as either condition can compromise the foil shield and affect signal integrity.
