The BALDWIN FILTERS BF1259 is a spin-on fuel water separator element designed to remove both contaminants and water from diesel and gasoline fuel systems in heavy-duty automotive and equipment applications. With an outside diameter of 3.688 inches and an overall length of 9.531 inches, this element fits a wide range of engines and equipment. The spin-on design allows for straightforward servicing without special tooling. Rated for a maximum pressure of 60,000 psi, the BF1259 is built for demanding operating conditions. It includes an ES24-D F gasket and a G381-A I gasket to support a proper seal at installation. Weight is approximately 1.667 pounds.
The BF1259 is suited for heavy-duty automotive and off-highway equipment applications where fuel cleanliness and water removal are critical to engine protection and injector longevity. This element is a direct cross-reference replacement for filters used on equipment powered by Cummins, Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu, and other major engine platforms. It is commonly installed during scheduled fuel system maintenance by diesel technicians and fleet service professionals working on trucks, construction equipment, and agricultural machinery.
The BF1259 is a direct cross-reference for ACDelco TP1292, Case J329289, Caterpillar 2802700, Cummins 3329289, Donaldson P551000, Fram PS8048, GMC 25313753, Hastings FF1060, International J329289, John Deere RE160384, Komatsu YM1310368H2, Purolator F71000, and Wix 33406MP.
Installation should be performed by a qualified diesel technician or fleet service professional. Shut off the fuel supply and relieve any system pressure before removing the old element. Apply a light film of clean fuel or oil to the gasket before threading the new element on by hand until the gasket contacts the base, then snug per the equipment manufacturer's guidelines. Do not overtighten. Dispose of the used element and any drained fuel in accordance with local environmental regulations.
