The BALAX 30042-000 is a spiral point tap designed for through-hole threading in a wide range of materials. Built from M42 high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright uncoated finish, it cuts a 6-32 UNC right-hand thread to a 3B class of fit at an H2 thread limit. The plug chamfer style provides progressive cutting action suited for through-hole applications. With a 2-inch overall length and a thread length of 0.6875 inches, this tap is sized for standard machine tapping operations in production and maintenance environments.
