The BALAX 19002-000 is a thread forming extension tap designed for cutting M12 x 1.75 metric coarse internal threads in ductile materials. Unlike cutting taps, this thread forming tap cold-forms threads by displacing material rather than removing chips, producing stronger threads with a superior surface finish. Built from high-speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it carries a D12 thread limit and a 6H class of fit. The 4-inch overall length makes it suitable for reaching threads in deeper or recessed bores where standard-length taps fall short.
