The BADGER METER SDI1D1N10-0200 is an insertion-style flow meter designed for liquid flow measurement in industrial and commercial piping systems. It features a brass and PPS tip assembly with a tungsten carbide shaft, stainless steel impeller, and Torlon bearing for durability under continuous service conditions. The meter outputs a standard analog 4-20 mA signal, making it compatible with most building automation and process control systems. Rated to 1,000 psi maximum pressure and 180 degrees F maximum temperature, this unit suits demanding fluid monitoring applications. It carries a NEMA 4X enclosure rating for protection against washdowns and corrosive environments. No display is included. A licensed instrumentation or mechanical technician typically handles installation and commissioning.
This meter is suited for insertion into pipe sizes ranging from 1.5 inches to 10 inches (nominal). It is used in commercial HVAC hydronic systems, industrial process piping, and water distribution monitoring where a non-intrusive, direct-insert measurement solution is required. The 1-inch male NPT process connection allows direct threading into a prepared fitting or saddle on the pipe wall. Hot tap installation is not available with this configuration. The analog output integrates readily with PLCs, data loggers, and building management systems that accept a 4-20 mA input signal.
Designed for direct insertion into pipe sizes from 1.5 inches to 10 inches nominal diameter. Hot tap installation is not supported with this tip and connection configuration.
Installation should be performed by a qualified instrumentation technician or licensed mechanical contractor familiar with process piping and flow measurement equipment. Isolate and depressurize the pipe section before installing or removing the meter, and verify the system is vented and drained as required by site safety procedures. The 1-inch male NPT process connection should be made to a properly rated fitting or weld-o-let using appropriate thread sealant rated for the service fluid and temperature. Wiring of the 4-20 mA analog output should follow applicable NEC requirements for the installation class and environment.
