The BAC INDUSTRIES INC TMB-55 is a wood-handle timber jack designed to lift logs 11 inches off the ground during cutting operations. By elevating the log, it reduces the risk of kickback and keeps the chainsaw bar from contacting the ground. The handle measures 48 inches overall with 37 inches of usable length, giving the operator good leverage without excessive bending. The wood handle is finished with a powder coat for durability. At 11 pounds, the tool is substantial enough for field work while remaining portable for one-person use. Licensed arborists, timber crews, and land-clearing contractors are the primary users.
The TMB-55 is suited for residential and commercial logging, land clearing, firewood processing, and storm cleanup. It handles logs up to 14 inches in diameter. The tool functions as a 2-in-1 design: in addition to lifting, it can assist with rolling logs by removing the bottom lift component of the jack. This makes repositioning bucked sections faster without needing a separate peavey or cant hook.
Designed as a general-purpose timber jack compatible with standard log-lifting and chainsaw bucking operations across residential and commercial forestry applications.
No installation is required for this hand tool. Inspect the handle and metal components for cracks or damage before each use. Always wear appropriate PPE including chainsaw chaps, gloves, and eye protection when operating alongside a chainsaw. Follow safe chainsaw handling procedures and local forestry safety guidelines during log lifting and rolling operations.
