The AU-VE-CO PRODUCTS 3751 is a spring steel button-style finishing plug designed to snap into 3/8-inch holes in sheet metal and thin panel assemblies. The plug seats firmly into the hole and provides a clean, finished appearance on panel surfaces ranging from 0.037 to 0.078 inches thick. Its nickel finish resists corrosion and blends with standard enclosure hardware. The 0.5-inch outside diameter head covers the hole perimeter securely once installed. HVAC techs, electricians, and sheet metal fabricators use this type of plug to close unused knockouts, wiring access holes, and service openings in cabinets, control enclosures, and ductwork panels.
This finishing plug is suited for light-gauge sheet metal panels common in residential and light commercial HVAC equipment, electrical enclosures, and panel assemblies. It is a push-in, tool-free installation part that stays in place via spring tension against the panel edge. Typical applications include closing unused conduit knockouts and access holes in control boxes, furnace cabinets, air handler enclosures, and similar thin-panel equipment.
Designed as an OEM-style finishing plug for light-gauge sheet metal panels with 3/8-inch holes and panel thickness between 0.037 and 0.078 inches, as found in HVAC cabinets, electrical enclosures, and fabricated panel assemblies.
Installation requires no tools - align the plug over the 3/8-inch hole and apply firm hand pressure until the spring steel tabs seat against the back of the panel. Confirm the panel thickness falls within the 0.037 to 0.078-inch range before installation to ensure proper retention. Power down and de-energize any electrical enclosure before inserting plugs into live cabinet panels. Do not force the plug into holes larger or smaller than 3/8 inch, as this will compromise retention.
