The AU-VE-CO PRODUCTS 21122 is a round head sheet metal screw designed for fastening sheet metal components in HVAC, electrical, and general trade applications. It features a Phillips Pozidriv drive, which provides increased torque transfer and reduced cam-out compared to a standard Phillips drive. The M4.2 thread size and 14mm length make it suitable for light-gauge sheet metal work. The Tek point allows the screw to self-drill through metal without a pilot hole in many applications. The chrome finish provides basic corrosion resistance. This fastener is installed by HVAC technicians, electricians, and sheet metal workers during equipment assembly, ductwork fabrication, and panel installation.
This screw is used across residential and light commercial applications wherever sheet metal panels, ductwork, electrical enclosures, or equipment cabinets require secure mechanical fastening. The Tek self-drilling point eliminates the need for a separate pilot hole in typical light-gauge metal installations, speeding up assembly. The Phillips Pozidriv drive is compatible with standard Pozidriv or Phillips bits, giving technicians flexibility in the field. This fastener ships in a minimum order quantity of 50 pieces per package.
Designed as a general-purpose sheet metal fastener suitable for light-gauge metal panels, HVAC equipment cabinets, ductwork, and electrical enclosures where an M4.2 round head Tek point screw is required.
Installation is performed by HVAC technicians, electricians, and sheet metal workers using a Phillips Pozidriv bit and a standard power driver or manual screwdriver. Always de-energize electrical equipment before fastening panels or enclosures, following NFPA 70 (NEC) lockout requirements. Verify that the metal gauge is within the rated drilling capacity of the Tek point before driving. Do not overdrive - overtightening can strip the thread or deform the panel.
